Francavilla Takes on the Swamp Thing
I was excited to hear that Francesco Francavilla (Detective Comics and Black Panther) would be joining Scott Snyder from time to time on Swamp Thing after it launches this September. Yanick Paquette (Batman, Incorporated) is the regular series artist, but it will be great to see Snyder and Francavilla on a book again because they've made some serious magic together on Detective.
It looks as though Francavilla is getting his pencils warmed up with his haunting take on the classic leafy character on his blog, Pulp Sunday. The artist has become one of my favorites working today. Every writer should working with Francavilla should ensure there's at least one or two double-page spreads into their stories just to let the artist go to town.
