DC Comics continues to commision new takes on classic covers by several of their artists (see the links below). Amanda Connor has released this cool take on Action Comics #252 with the first appearance of Supergirl. I'm pretty sure this was one of the many imaginary stories that the Superman books regularly published. Thankfully he isn't yelling "Great guns!" as he did in the original (below). Good call on Connor's part!
Frank Quitely and Jim Lee have also submitted updates to classic covers (Green Lantern and Justice League of America respectively).
The Amanda Connor variant appears on Supergirl #58 on sale November 17th.
