'Captain America' Trailer Features First Glimpse of Red Skull
When the Green Lantern trailer was released a few months back I was totally excited about what I saw. I feel the same way about the new Captain America: The First Avenger trailer (maybe even more so). What I liked particularly about the former film's clip was our first glimpse of Mark Strong as GL's main baddie Sinestro. The Cap trailer features the equally cool first shot of Hugo Weaving as the villainous Red Skull (Cap's arch nemesis).
I could not be more excited for the relase of Captain America: The First Avenger on July 22!
Super Bowl Trailer: 'Thor'
Thankfully, like the Cowboys & Aliens Super Bowl trailer, the new Thor spot offers more glimpses at this summer’s next big super hero film!
Super Bowl Trailer: 'Captain America: The First Avenger'
Wow. This is our first look at the teaser for Captain America: The First Avenger and it does not disappoint!

Super Bowl Trailer: 'Cowboys & Aliens'
This is a great way to start of Super Bowl Sunday! Universal and Dreamworks have decided to release the trailer for Cowboys & Aliens prior to airing it during the big game. Good for us!
UPDATE ON FEMALE LEAD FOR NEW SUPERMAN FILM
OK, we can all relax now.
Lois Lane is indeed going to be in Zack Snyder's Superman film.
However it is also true that the three actresses mentioned earlier (Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike) are not up for Lois Lane...but rather, they are up for....URSA.
Who is Ursa? Well she is only General Zod's right armed...er um woman.
How exciting is that Cape Town Commuters???
Read is here at Latino Review.

[Update] Comic-Con 2011 Registration is Off to a Rousing Start!
If you're like me, you have gotten this screen about a thousand times. Or the one where the site is down. I've actually gotten through to select my tickets twice, only to be returned back to the screen above after clicking the "Proceed to Checkout" button. Loveliness.
Why do I want to go so badly?
Update #1
(11:54 a.m. PST) I currently have the same amount of tickets for Comic-Con as I did when I woke up this morning.
Update #2
(1:55 p.m. PST) Tickets have been purchased for all days, except Saturday. Ah well, happy to be attending.

'Flashpoint' #1 Cover Appears Online
Not to be outdone by Marvel's release of the cover for April's Fear Itself #1, DC posted the cover to Flashpoint #1 by series artist Andy Kubert. This is the completed artwork from the penciled teaser DC posted last Flashpoint Friday.
We're still not sure who all of the heroes are that are featured in the pic. It looks like (from left to right, Aquaman, Cyborg, Batman, and Helmet Guy. I totally dig the image of the Flash with the fabric of his costume (and reality itsellf) being torn apart. Flashpoint has a ton of potential to be a big fun ride!
Flashpoint #1, by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert, is scheduled for release in May.
Marvel Offers McNiven's 'Fear Itself' #1 Cover
Check out the first cover to Fear Itself #1 by superstar Steve McNiven (Civil War and Nemesis). Thor has seen better days! We're only a few months away before the seven-issue mini rears its darkness over the Marvel U.
Fear Itself #1, by Matt Fraction and Suart Immonen, is scheduled for release on April 6.
Lois Lane....NOT!
Per Variety Hollywood has three ladies in the running for the lead role in the new Superman film. But it's not for Lois Lane.
Per the article,
"Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike are the three thesps being considered for the role, whose identity hasn't been disclosed -- but it's not Lois Lane."
So what does this mean Cape Town Commuters?
Is there another woman for Superman to pine over...or could there be more than one lead female in a Superman film???
GREAT SCOTT?
Marvel's 'Moon Knight' Teaser Promises Some One-Stop Avenging
Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev are getting ready to offer up their take on Moon Knight, that 70's Marvel creation that has bounced around the Marvel Universe for years. He's had a few ongoings, but I suspect the new team is going present something to which fans can really gravitate. Marvel offered up this first teaser for the new project today, and it promises a lot with its tagline "All the Avengers you'll ever need."
Moon Knight, by Bendis and Maleev, is scheduled for release this May.
