DC Announces Midnight Release of 'Justice League' #1 and 'Flashpoint' #5

Where will you be on August 31st at 12:01 in the a.m.?

Well, if DC has its druthers, you'll be packing in the comic shops to get a big fat taste of history by purchasing the first issue of their linewide relaunching: Justice League #1 by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee. Have you heard about it?

DC announced today that Justice League and it's predecessor, Flashpoint #5, will both go on sale as soon about a minute after Tuesday becomes Wednesday. I usually reserve midnight screenings and book purchases for things involving boy wizards, but I'd support DC and drive down to my comic shop to snag a couple of my books in the wee hours of the night.

But that begs the question: Which shops plan to stay open (or re-open) for rabid DC fans to get their hands on the first issue DC's Extreme Universe Makeover? More importantly, will Pulp Fiction in Long Beach open its doors for its beloved comic book enthusiasts?
