'X-Men: First Class' Trailer: Shot-By-Shot

I was initially somewhat lukewarm to the idea of the X-Men: First Class movie mainly because it seemed as though Fox was rushing the film into theaters. After X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I was hoping for a little more care to be taken in bringing one of Marvel's biggest properties to life. Director Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass) has also mentioned in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that he felt under the gun to deliver this film on time. Now that the first trailer is here I think we may have something good here.

Pretty damn good actually.

Let's take a look at some screen captures of the trailer that appeared on line today:

Charles (James McAvoy) and Erik (Michael Fassbender) are introduced to the flittering Angel Salvadore (ZoĆ« Kravitz).

Jennifer Lawrence reveals herself as Mystique.

The blackbird soars above what may be Cuban waters.

Nicholas Hoult in some impressive make-up as the Beast/Hank McCoy.

This was my favorite scene in the trailer. Magneto (Fassbender) dispenses tough love to soldiers who have no idea what they are up against.

Hank lets his dogs out.

Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) looks on as Emma Frost (January Jones) demonstrates how tough an exterior she really has.

Lucas Till proves how stunning the Summers brothers can be.

Jason Flemyng has an awesome scene in the trailer as Azazel catches some assailiants way off guard.

The money shot of the trailer!
