'The Incredibles' Blu-Ray Arrives Spring 2011
One word: finally.
Blu-Ray.com announced this week that the 2004 hit The Incredibles is finally going to join the rest of the Pixar library in the high-definition format in the Spring of 2011. While this movie is not an adaptation of a comic book, it's affection for the material that inspired it is evident throughout. The movie tells the story of former masked hero Bob Parr (Craig T. Nelson) who tries to adapt to a life with his suburban (and super-powered) family; a life that is free of crime-fighting after a bill is passed to ban costumed heroes.
This was Writer/Director Brad Bird's first feature with the ground-beaking animation studio and he brought as unique a touch to this film as he did to The Iron Giant. At a time where it seems that only one out of every four superhero movies really clicks, The Incredibles showed that a movie does not have to follow the same tired formula to tell an interesting story.
No specific details regarding the release date or technical specs for The Incredibles are currently available.
