DC promised on their blog on Friday that they would begin feeding us news every Friday on this summer’s Flashpoint event (promo teaser above). The prelude to the big crossover begins this February in the pages of The Flash by Geoff Johns and Francis Manapaul. Andy Kubert joins Johns for the actual mini, as seen in some of the promo pages after the jump.
All that seems to be known about Flashpoint is that someone is messing with the histories of the DCU's biggest guns (Professor Zoom?). The original teaser poster promises to bring Wonder Woman, Superman, the Eiffel Tower, and Batman all into the heat of the mess.
If anyone at DC knows how to do a big event it's Johns. It will be interesting to see if any of the altered timelines from this series end up sticking to current DC continuity. After all, time travel is a perfect means of retconning characters who haven't had their day in the sun for a while.
