I think this is a red herring.
The story here is that Peter Parker received a big novelty cookie with his name on it. Then he falls asleep against said cookie.
For my money, the web-slinger's probably just been smashed into Ben's headstone and is about to open up a fresh can of ass-kickery on something after a touching flashback or one of those really eachoey speeches in his head.
