Layman and Garbett to work on Marvel's 'Identity Wars' this April
I was pretty heartbroken when I heard that Lee Garbett was leaving Batgirl to begin working at Marvel. He announced today on his blog—through a Marvel press release—that he would be working on a trifecta of annuals that tie together in a storyline called “Identity Wars.” And who is writing all three books? None other than Chew writer/co-creator John Layman. While Layman has written a handful of titles for mainstream comics, it will be interesting to see how his writing has evolved after working on his totally unconventional award-winning book.
The “Identity Wars” storyline begins in April with The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #38 (cover above by Steve McNiven), followed by Deadpool and Hulk annuals.
