Independence Day weekend 2012 just got a whole lot more awesome.
Today Sony released our first glimpse of Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man costume (sans mask) and it looks pretty damn sweet. I wondered what the texture of the costume would be—I assumed the filmmakers would do their own thing and not go with the raised web look of the original Spider-Man films.
I would like to say that I am officially excited to see this film, but I’ve been crazy excited for some time now. Everything I have been hearing in terms of tone, characters and casting has been totally fine with me.
Marc Webb’s Spider-Man film (yeah, the name hasn’t been released yet) is set to hit theaters on July 3, 2012. Who needs fireworks?
