Marcos Martin created a fantastic variant cover for Amazing Spider-Man #648. His cover for issue #655 (below) is flat-out haunting. Marvel released a interior page (above) from the issue without any dialogue that depicts the day Peter Parker’s life took purpose. Martin’s take on Spider-Man is reminiscent of the old cartoon from the 60’s and the original Steve Ditko work. I cannot wait to get my hands on his run on the Dan Slott penned series and just soak up more of this gorgeous artwork.
The Amazing Spider-Man #655 is scheduled for release on February 16, 2011.
