David Aja Covers this July's 'Red Skull'

One of Marvel’s most vile villains gets his shot in the limelight this summer: Red Skull.

Captain America’s longtime adversary gets his chance up to bat when Greg Pak and Mirko Colak bring the character’s origins and motivations to light in the five-issue mini-series titled Red Skull. The book begins this July, just in time to coincide with the release of Captain America: The First Avenger.

For my money, the star of the book is cover artist David Aja. Just look at those striking and fearsome propaganda-inspired covers. The colors are bold and fantastic (it is called Red Skull after all), as are the textures and the faux distressed look with creases. Based on this alone, I’m sold!
