Casey and Dragotta Bring 'Vengeance' to Marvel

Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta explore the next generation of villainy in this July’s Vengeance, a six issue mini-series that features a new villains yet uses classic old school baddies as its backdrop.

You’ll probably remember Dragotta from his most recent work on the final issue of Fantastic Four—I love the character designs for these new villains (especially the nameless Captain America inspired character, above).

"What happened to Magneto? What happened to Loki? Where is Dr. Doom? Why is Bullseye dead?" Casey explains that his new characters are wondering this as the story opens—these are villains who may have gone good, but their previous roles in the Marvel Universe have left an indelible impact.

"The impact all of these villains have had in the Marvel Universe can't be undone," says editor Tom Brennan.

Vengeance by Casey and Dragotta, with covers by Gabriele Dell'Otto, arrives in stores this July.
