DC Announces Their 70's 'Retroactive' Teams

Wonder Woman #196 (1971)
At Wonder Con DC announced “Retroactive”, a series of one-shots featuring brand new takes on DC’s icons and written by the classic writers of the era. There will be four sets of retrospectives, featuring 70’s, 80’s, 90’s era interpretations of Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, The Justice League of America, Green Lantern, and Batman.

Dennis O’Neal, Cary Bates, Len Wein, Marv Wolfman, Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, Mike W. Barr, Louise Simonson, Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis, and Ron Marz are among the superstar writers who will contribute to this summer’s flashback.

Today DC solicited the artists that would be taking a crack at the 70’s storylines—probably the point where DC became relevant again after warbling through the 60’s.

I’m actually a big fan of Wonder Woman’s new costume and am excited that her 70’s “Retroactive” issue will feature her much maligned white getup. Because if you really dislike her latest attire, just know this: things were much, much worse in the early 70’s for ‘ol Diana.
